The band started playing speed metal in the vein of early HELLOWEEN with a touch of NWOBHM. After three demo EP's -- "Own Way" (1991), "Lucifer's Breakfast" (1993) and "In Search Of Yaga" (1993), AVALANCHE self-released first full-length album, "Here Comes The King", which now became a minor classic of German heavy metal. Second album, "To Be Free", appeared only five years later, in 1999.
