Debut release by US hard rock act created by ex-RATT frontman Stephen Pearcy initially as TABOO. It included
former CINDERELLA drummer Fred Coury, SEA HAGS guitarist Frankie Wilsey (aka Wilsex), erstwhile MICHAEL
MONROE guitarist Johnny Angel and bass player Michael Andrews. But another act laid claim to the name TABOO
and, dispensing with Angel in favour of guitarist Donnie Syracuse, the band swapped titles to ARCADE. The debut
album was produced by rising star of the production world, David Prater, and featured some tracks
co-written with Jim Vallance.
The follow up "A/2" album found the band moving in punkier waters. Following the break up of
ARCADE, Pearcy formed VICIOUS
DELITE, then VERTEX, before involving himself in the reformation of RATT at the turn of 1997. Pearcy
re-recorded 'Mother Blues' from the first ARCADE album for release on the RATT comeback release
"Collage".
